This bike lived a good life, running the wild roads of Colorado and the Four Corners states for years of great memories on the road. But eventually the bike was in a corner of the garage, with stuff piled high on shelves around it. One day gravity overcame friction, and this Virago wound up under an avalanche of miscellaneous.
Before the collapse, the mechanicals of the engine and transmission were already showing a lot of wear, and it would take a lot of work to get it running the right way again. With the Shandoka conversion process, we can have this bike on the road much more easily. This beefy Yamaha Virago cruiser had a massive 1100cc combustion engine, bigger than some compact cars from the same era! Despite the cosmetic issues, the frame was never crashed, and it was taken care of and stored inside, all of which makes this bike perfect for a retrofit to electric.
